6 Keys to Skill Development - Kevin Eastman


  1. Practice at a rate equal to or higher than that will occur in the game 
  2. Understand it's a process to improve.
  3. Must eliminate workout killers, the two major ones are:
    1. Fatigue
    2. Boredom 
  4. Have a written workout plan.
  5. 5 areas to work on everyday:
    1. Conditioning
    2. Weak hand 
    3. Footwork and balance
    4. Playing through some sort of contact
    5. Shooting
  6. The Theory of 2: it takes 2 minutes to be shown a skill, it takes two weeks to get comfortable with it, and it takes 2 months of working on it to use it effectively in a game.
