2014 Nationals - Arrival Day

All participating teams are now on site at the University of Alberta and competition is set to start tomorrow morning with the first games to tip off at 11:15am. All 4 Nova Scotia teams will be in action on the opening day, beginning with the 15u boys at 11:15am, 15u girls at 6:00pm and the 17u boys and girls at 8:15pm (all times are Alberta time (MDT), 3 hours earlier than Nova Scotia time). After a big day of travelling, all the Nova Scotia teams had an opportunity to squeeze 30-45 minutes on the practice floor and get settled into their accommodations in the residence at U of A. 

The 15u and 17u girls teams did run into travel hiccups, when their connecting flight from Calgary to Edmonton was delayed by and hour and one of the athletes' luggage was mishandled but should be returned by tomorrow night. However, we are all here now and the excitement level is ramping up leading into the first day of the preliminary rounds.
