There is so much power in creating something that sticks in the mind, a powerful image, a creative visual. Even just a paused screen of practice film while you talk to them can be a visual. Doesn’t need to be about the topic but it helps provide context.

Gives you something to look at, talk about. Disarming. Makes them comfortable. It’s a distraction. Find ways to communicate. People have stuff to say, let them talk.
