Sometimes we cannot be our authentic selves. Sometimes you have to show up and be professional and do what you said you were going to do, regardless of your desire to do that in some cases.
I do not want an orthopaedic surgeon who is half way through surgery decide that he no longer wants to be a surgeon.
Show up, be a professional, and complete the task that you agreed to do.
