The problem with education is that it is becoming commercialized and impersonal, these are not traits that employers are looking for.
We need to provide the opportunity to develop interpersonal skills, communication, leadership and problem solving skills...skills that are necessary in the workforce today.
These soft skills that can be acquired at a liberal arts school like Acadia are becoming more more important to employers.
Education is not, nor should it be a one-size-fits-all model.
We all learn differently, find a place which allows you to learn in multiple ways and taps into something very human and something very authentic.
An education beyond the classroom.
